The TypeisRight began in June 1989 in a spare bedroom, selling printing and business forms such as invoices, statements and mailers. After the first year we moved into commercial space across from Plainfield Town Hall. Three months later we moved to Central Plaza (the “Subway” building) in Central Village, CT, where we were until June 2015. We’ve moved to Moosup, just a mile or so up the road.

During our first decade I worked with not only my own babies in the office, but the babies of several employees as well at different times. Customers asked “How do you do it?” Many still ask about the kids and can’t believe they're all grown up .

In 2000, before the toddler stopped toddling, we hung a sign on the door that read “By Appointment Only” and no longer offered walk-in service. Many customers never noticed, having always taken advantage of our free local pickup and delivery service.

We still do not offer walk-in service without an appointment. However, pickups and deliveries are usually available at Bayou Gifts next door, from 9-5 M-F.  

2015 brought a move and the addition of a 15 needle embroidery machine. 2017 brought color transfers using white ink and we now print more apparel than ever.  The website lists all kind of advertising specialties you may search through.  Most of what we custom print is not listed. We stay too busy working on YOUR promotion to work on our own!
